UTHealth August Patient Details Safety Concerns with Food

Tyler Texas (September 8 2019 – AUSTIN Texas) – AUSTIN Texas The American Thyroid Association (ATA) just released a vital initiative called Thyroid Alert which encourages men not only to check their thyroid but also to explore the risks of consuming products containing phthalate (Polychlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons) or PCE. The main information website for the program details the dangers of consuming PCE and explains that the endocrine-disrupting chemicals or EDCs from multiple have been linked to the production of PCE. Being a consumer of PCE will make you at risk for live birth defects linked to food andor organ transplantation; endocrine disrupting chemicals are found in sunscreens (UV) and fish oils which are known to cause reproductive changes; and suppresses the immune system or asthma leading to severe illnesses.
